Our story

Marsh House Stories began with a simple idea, creating children’s books beautiful enough to live on a nursery shelf long after story time is over.

Inspired by the quiet magic of the Lowcountry, our stories are rooted in the timeless traditions of southern childhood. We believe the books children grow up with should feel meaningful, calming, and lasting like heirlooms passed from one generation to the next.

As a mother, storyteller, and lover of the coast, we noticed a space for children’s books that felt softer, more intentional, and more beautifully designed. Books that captured the warmth of growing up in the South without feeling overly commercial or cartoonish. Books that felt just as at home displayed in a nursery as they did in little hands at bedtime.

Every Marsh House Stories collection is thoughtfully created to celebrate wonder, imagination, family traditions, and the beauty of a slower childhood.
